An herbicide treatment project to control Eurasian Watermilfoil occurred on Newman Lake on June 14th.

ALL restrictions on water use were lifted Thursday, June 17th, 2010.
Using Newman Lake water for livestock drinking, irrigating pastures, and watering landscapes is OK. Swimming and Fishing is OK.
The herbicide used was 2,4-D.
Gerneral Herbicide Restriction Information:
It has been advised that no swimming occur within the treated area during or for 24 hours following treatment. Potable Water Restrictions: Do Not Use Water from treatment area until an approved assay result is below 70 ppb. Irrigation Restrictions: Do Not Use Water from treatment area until an approved assay result is below 100 ppb. Fishing Restrictions: None. Stock Watering Restrictions: None.
