2017 Restoration Project for Nine Mile Reservoir
Thick Eurasian watermilfoil (left)
Eurasian watermilfoil has been identified as a significant invasive species within Nine Mile Reservoir. This plant and several additional aquatic nuisance plants found in Nine Mile Reservoir are known to negatively affect the beneficial uses of a water body. As such, Avista contracted Lakeland Restoration Services to conduct an aquatic herbicide treatment on Nine Mile Reservoir. Treatment was completed on August 21st, 2017. All water use restrictions have been lifted.
