Lakeland Restoration Services was contracted by the City of Kenmore to perform aquatic herbicide treatments on parts of Lake Washington and the Sammamish River Channel in Kenmore, WA.  The first application was completed on June 4th. Twenty-eight (28) acres were treated. The second application occurred on July 16th.

Additionally on July 16th, Lakeland treated aquatic plants for homeowners who signed up in the permitted area. These applications were conducted to control Eurasian watermilfoil, Brazilian elodea, algae, hydrilla and other nuisance aquatic plants.

The 24 hour swimming restriction has been lifted.
