Cocolalla Lake Association

Survey and Treatment – July 2006, July 2007, June/July 2008, June/August 2009, July 2010 

Project Overview:  Treatment of 90 acres of Eurasian Watermilfoil in 2006 (using Navigate®), 75 acres in 2007 (using DMA 4 IVM® and Reward®), and 20 acres in 2009 (using DMA 4 IVM®).  GPS technology was used to log the treatments, and follow up water samplings with dissolved oxygen readings were performed.  Littoral zone survey in June and July, 2008, June 2009, July 2010, and October 2010.

 

Kootenai County Noxious Weed Control

Survey and Treatment – August-September 2007, June-July 2008, July 2009, July 2010

Project Overview:  Hayden Lake treatments: 217 acres in 2007, 306 acres in 2008, 64.8 acres in 2009, 88.7 acres in 2010. Cave/Medicine Lakes treatments: 208.7 acres in 2007, 241 acres in 2008, 33 acres in 2009, 33 acres in 2010.  A survey of Fernan Lake, Harrison Slough, Twin Lakes, and Spokane River was also performed as a part of both the 2007 and 2008 projects.  GPS mapping was performed for both the treatment and survey operations and maps were provided to the Project Manager.

 

Invasive Species Council/Milfoil Task Force

Survey – September 2007

Project Overview:  Surveys of CJ Strike, Sage Hen Reservoir, Swan Falls, and Warm Lake in Southern Idaho were conducte for the presence of Eurasian Watermilfoil and other aquatic invasive species; not limited to plants.

   

Avista Utilities in coordination with Idaho Dept. of Fish & Game

Treatment – October 2007, October 2008, August 2009

Project Overview:  Treatment of Japanese Knotweed along Trestle Creek. Project involved cutting and treating stumps and removing all fragments of cut stems.

 

 

  

Spokane County Public Works

Treatment – July 2008, June 2009, June 2010

Project Overview:  60 acres of Eurasian Watermilfoil was treated in 2008 (using Navigate®), 30 acres in 2009 (using DMA 4 IVM®), and 42 acres in 2010 (using DMA 4 IVM®) in coordination with Inland Pest Control & Consulting.

  

Liberty Lake Sewer & Water District

Treatment and Survey – July 2008, July 2009, August 2009

Project Overview:  Treatment of 15 acres of Eurasian Watermilfoil in 2008 and 13.5 acres in 2009 in coordination with Inland Pest Control & Consulting using DMA 4 IVM®.  Littoral zone survey performed in August, 2009.  GPS/GIS technology was used for both the treatment and survey operations.  Treatment and plant distribution maps were provided to the Project Manager.  

 

Moses Lake Irrigation & Rehabilitation District

Survey and Treatment – August/September 2008, June 2010

Project Overview:  In 2008 a survey was conducted for the presence of Eurasian Watermilfoil and other aquatic invasive species. Multiple maps and layouts were produced showing each species found and at what location, plant diversity, percent cover, the estimated size of Eurasian Watermilfoil infestations, plant density, bathymetric contours, the location of the littoral zone, and sediment type.  In 2010, 331 acres of Eurasian Watermilfoil, Curly Leaf Pondweed, Big Leaf Pondweed and American Pond Weed was treated using DMA 4 IVM®, Ecotriclopyr 3 SL, and Reward®.

 

Grant County Noxious Weed Control Board 

Survey and Treatment – July 2010

Project Overview:  Surveyed and treated 120 miles of shoreline for riparian noxious weeds including: Yellow Flag Iris, Phragmites, Tree of Heaven, and Salt Cedar.

 

  

Sacheen Lake Sewer & Water District

Treatment – June 2009

Project Overview:  Treated 5 acres of Eurasian Watermilfoil using DMA 4 IVM®.

  

 

The Coeur d'Alene Tribe

Treatment July 2009

Project Overview:  Treatment of 105 acres of Eurasian Watermilfoil in Coeur d'Alene and Hidden Lakes using DMA 4 IVM®.

 

  

Loon Lake Management District/Stevens County

Treatment July 2009, July 2010

Project Overview:  Treatment of 58 acres of Eurasian Watermilfoil in 2009 (using Renovate® OTF and Triclopyr 3 SL) and 59 acres in 2010 (using DMA 4 IVM® and Navigate®).

  

Spokane County Conservation District

Treatment July 2010

Project Overview:  Treatment of 60 acres of Eurasian Watermilfoil using DMA 4 IVM®.
