Lake Spokane In-Water Treatment

In-water treatment for residents is planned for July 16-17 (Tuesday, Wednesday) after our annual treatment for the 10 communal areas managed by Avista Corp.

Sizing is standardized in terms of linear shoreline feet and corresponds to a certain volume of treatment material. In-water treatments at standard sizes are effective for about a 75 foot swath and beyond, though this depends on the depth of your area and severity of vegetation cover and height.

Treatments are applied by airboat with a weighted hose submerged in the water, no treatment material is airborne at any time. We approach very close to docks and walls in order to provide a thorough treatment where it is most desired. At times we step off the boat onto docks or land in order to prevent any hard contact between the boat and your dock, wall, etc. and move safely through small spaces.
